My name is Glen and I am 54 years old - thus the Old Man moniker. I am married to a wonderful woman and have 2 five year old girls. I Found SFSC from an online search for Florida Shark Fishing and have been reading the posts for a number of years. I have had shark fishing in my heart for about 5 years and soon to hit the beach. I was ready a few years back but then life got in the way...the kids came along! I plan to mainly fish the Sarasota to Port Charlotte area for now and then spread out further as the kids grow older and the wife gets more into this new adventure. She is supportive but doesn't have the passion...yet. I believe she will be into shark fishing as soon as she sees how exciting it can be. As far as fishing the East Florida coast and the Keys, that will be something I look forward to as the kids grow. I'll be fishing mainly on land, but have a pontoon boat that I take out on Charlotte Harbor and was wondering about fishing from that also. I look forward to getting together with members of this club to learn about shark fishing and to participate in the camaraderie that is evident in this group. I am most definitely interested in becoming a full member of the SFSC!!!!!!!!

Ha guys, My name is David I am Milsharker. I am 43. married 3 years sep 12, working on a baby I am in the army stationed in Germany. I came to FL. for the first time back in 2008 with my wife for our honeymoon. I fought my wife all the way there. I asked what does FL. have. Well for a wedding gift from my wife, My wife was going to pay for me to go out with a guide to shark fish. Well the guy stood me up. Just left me hanging. Wife said why don't you try it on your own. So i bought a rod and reel Ok it was a joke but I got the fever. The first time I went out just down from the Lighthouse at Sanibel. First cast I hooked something that made me feel like a rag doll. Now that is no small task I am 6'1" and weigh 240. Lost it but wanted more. The next cast put the pole in the pvc rod holder ( junk) turned around to go get a smoke, heared a splash, rod gone, First time in my life I lost a rod. Well next year, went up in rod and reel size, got my first shark nurse 3' and then 2 1/5 tipper. Last year wife was surfing the net and found you guys for. She made contact with mullethead and jameski and we went out with them. Had a great time, learned a alot. Well Aug. is round 4 got an even bigger rod and reel and looking for an even bigger one, going to buy a kayak, Planning on fishing with mullethead and hopefuly some our guys from here. Planning on being on the beach as much as HH6( wife, command element of the house) will let me LOL. She shops, I fish. When I retire from the army I WILL BE MOVING TO FL.

#1 How did you here about us? Wife (trying to help me)

#2 How long have you been shark fishing? this will be year 4 but really about 3 months its only when I am on leave

#3 Where do you fish mostly? Cape Corel, Sanibel, Captiva

#4 Do you fish land and boat and if so where? Land

#5 Do you fish the South Florida and the Keys any? I wish

#6 Would you like to get together with us and learn more? that is a BIG YES need all the help I can get.

#7 Are you interested in becoming a shark club member? By the end of the month.
